Wissam is leading a research program that is examining the relationship between the introduction of inter professional team-based care and a set of quality outcomes (access, health services utilization and patient experience) in the context of primary care reform in Ontario, Canada.

Wissam held multiple senior positions in governmental, academic and research institutions within the health management and policy realm. He is currently a Senior Strategist for Health System Policy, Planning and Performance at CorHealth Ontario.
