Biography

Wenjie Zhan is an Assistant Professor of Quantitative Methods in Agricultural Economics in the Department of Food, Agricultural and Resource Economics at the University of Guelph. His research examines how consumers and retailers respond to food and nutrition policy. His recent work studies the health effects of payment digitization in the U.S. social safety net and the long-run human capital impacts of food fortification. He holds a Ph.D. in Agricultural and Resource Economics from the University of California, Davis, an M.S. in Agricultural and Resource Economics from the University of Tokyo, and a B.A. in Financial Management from Sun Yat-sen University.
