Biography

Rui (Ray) Fu is a first-year PhD candidate of Health Economics at the Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation (IHPME) at the University of Toronto. She holds a MSc in Health Economics from IHPME and a BSc of Mathematics and Statistics from the University of Toronto. Her master thesis focus on the causal relation between the rate of post-transplant death and the duration of pre-transplant dialysis among deceased donor kidney transplant recipients in Ontario, Canada. Her current research seeks to understand the health care utilization of kidney transplant recipients in Ontario using novel statistical techniques including machine learning.
