Michael Hoy

Biography

Michael Hoy (http://www.michaelhoy.ca/) is a Professor of Economics in the Department of Economics and Finance at the University of Guelph. His work in health economics includes research on the distributional implications of alternative funding models for health insurance, the effect of genetic testing on insurance markets, and the valuation of genetic information for improved healthcare strategies. He also carries out research on the measurement of inequality and poverty and on a variety of topics in public economics. He is currently co-editor of the Geneva Risk and Insurance Review.
