Joanne Soo-Min Kim

Biography

Joanne Kim is currently a Senior Program Consultant at the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care. She received her Ph.D. from the Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation and her Hon.B.Sc. and M.Sc. from Molecular Genetics at the University of Toronto.

Combining her training in basic science and health services research/health economics, Joanne evaluated in her Ph.D. thesis the assumed promise of personalized medicine in improving population health. Specifically, she investigated the impact of predictive genetic testing for colorectal cancer on risk-reducing health behaviours. Her interests lie in the intersection of science, technology, and policy.
