Alexandru Dobrescu

Biography

Alexandru Dobrescu is an economist with the Health Economics and Policy team at the Conference Board of Canada. He has published reports estimating the costs of tobacco use in Canada, the economic impact of expanding the scope of community pharmacy services, and the role of fiscal policies in improving access to health care. Other research areas have included assessing the economic impact of improving healthy behaviours in Canada and the value of vaccination among the senior population. Alexandru holds a M.A. in economics from McGill University and a B.A. with Honors from McMaster University.
