Faculty Position in Health Economics

The Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation in the Dalla Lana School of Public Health at the University of Toronto is currently seeking applications for a full-time tenure stream faculty position in Health Economics, at the rank of Assistant Professor, beginning July 1st, 2022, or shortly thereafter.

The successful candidate will have disciplinary depth in micro-economic theory with a focus on applied economic analysis as well as interest in working in a collaborative and multidisciplinary applied research environment. Applicants must demonstrate expertise and knowledge in issues related to health systems and health care with expertise in the application of micro-economic theory and econometric methods. The position is open to those with a substantive focus on health economics (e.g., health behaviours, individual and social determinants of health, industrial organization, labour, maternal/child health, inequalities in health, health equity, etc.)

Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Economics or Econometrics, by the appointment date, or shortly thereafter, with a demonstrated record of excellence in applied research and in teaching.
